The XY motor assembly is the industrial-grade actuator responsible for the high-speed lateral movement of the print head. Precision-engineered for the UltiMaker S-series and 2+ Connect, this stepper motor provides the torque and positional accuracy required to execute complex geometries with sub-micron consistency. By using micro-stepping technology, these motors ensure that the print head travels smoothly across the gantry, minimising mechanical resonance and "ghosting" on the surface of your 3D prints.

If you are experiencing lost steps (layer shifting), excessive noise during travel, or if the print head fails to home correctly, the internal windings of the motor or the pre-installed drive pulley may be worn. This complete service kit includes everything needed to refresh a single axis of motion, ensuring your printer maintains its industrial-grade speed and accuracy over thousands of hours of operation.

What is in the kit?

• 1x XY Stepper motor: A high-torque motor designed for continuous operation in a 3D printing environment.
• 1x 5 mm Pulley: A precision-machined aluminium timing pulley, factory-pressed onto the motor shaft for perfect concentricity.
• 1x X-motor cable (670 mm): A dedicated wiring loom for installation on the X-axis.
• 1x Y-motor cable (850 mm): A longer wiring loom specifically for the Y-axis motor position.
