The print head bearing pack is a vital maintenance kit designed to restore the smooth, high-precision motion of the UltiMaker S-series print head. Unlike previous models, the S-series utilizes a dual-diameter shaft system to handle the increased weight and speed of the professional print head assembly. This pack contains the two specific linear bearings required to interface with the gantry, ensuring that the motion system remains silent, fluid, and free from mechanical play.
Worn bearings often manifest as increased resonance, "ghosting" on the surface of printed parts, or a distinct grinding noise during high-speed travel. Replacing these bearings is a critical step in maintaining the industrial-grade dimensional accuracy expected from the S-series platform.
