Brand: UltiMaker
UltiMaker axial front fan (80-233772) for S7 and S8 inductive print heads. Essential for cooling print cores and preventing heat creep.
On backorder
The axial front fan is a critical thermal management component specifically designed for the next-generation inductive print heads of the UltiMaker S7 and S8. Unlike the side-mounted part-cooling fans, this front-facing fan is dedicated to "cold-end" cooling. It draws air into the print head and directs it across the cooling fins of the print cores. This process is essential for maintaining a sharp thermal transition within the filament path, preventing "heat creep"—a condition where filament softens prematurely above the heater block, leading to internal clogs and extrusion failure.
This fan is engineered with a specialised small-form-factor connector that interfaces directly with the inductive sensor plate. Because the S7 and S8 utilise an inductive levelling system rather than the capacitive system found in older models, this fan is electrically and mechanically tailored for this specific architecture. Replacing a noisy or failing axial fan is vital to ensure long-term extrusion reliability and to protect the internal electronics of the print head from ambient heat soak.
This fan is designed exclusively for printers using the inductive levelling print head:
Note: This fan is NOT compatible with the UltiMaker S3 or S5, which utilise capacitive sensor print heads and different electrical connectors.
