Formlabs Tough 1000 Resin is the most ductile and impact-resistant material in the next-generation Tough and Durable resin family. Engineered to match the mechanical behaviour of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), it is ideal for parts that must bend, compress, and endure repeated stress without cracking. Its matte, dark grey finish combines professional aesthetics with superior fatigue and wear resistance, making it perfect for demanding functional applications.

Leveraging advanced chemistry optimised for the Form 4 series, Tough 1000 offers:

5× higher fracture toughness and 2× higher elongation at break (180%) compared to previous durable formulations.
Exceptional resistance to warping, sagging, and creep, maintaining dimensional accuracy even under repeated flexing.
Low-friction surface comparable to Delrin® (POM), perfect for moving assemblies and sliding mechanisms.

Compatibility

Printers: Formlabs Form 4, Form 4B.
Post-Processing: Compatible with Form Wash and Form Cure (2nd Generation).

Post-Processing & Best Practices

Washing: Rinse in Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) using Form Wash. Allow at least 30 minutes to air-dry before handling.
Curing: Post-cure in Form Cure for 120 minutes at 70 °C to achieve full mechanical properties.
