UltiMaker Nylon (polyamide) is a versatile engineering filament valued for its exceptional durability and high strength-to-weight ratio. Based on a PA6 formulation optimised for 3D printing, it combines flexibility with high impact resistance and a naturally low coefficient of friction. These properties make it ideal for functional prototypes, customised tools, and end-use mechanical components that must withstand repeated movement and mechanical stress.

UltiMaker Nylon also offers strong resistance to many alkalis and organic chemicals. The formulation is engineered for reliable printing and dimensional stability, although like all nylon materials it remains hygroscopic and benefits from proper dry storage.
