The capacitive print head PCB serves as the central electronic nervous system for the UltiMaker S3 and S5 print heads. This multi-layered circuit board coordinates every critical function of the dual-extrusion system, including power distribution to the print core heaters, signal processing for the PT100 temperature sensors, and the logic for the cooling fans. It is specifically designed to interface with the capacitive levelling sensor, allowing the printer to precisely map the glass build plate surface to ensure perfect first-layer adhesion.

As the primary hub for the print head umbilical cable, this PCB is subject to constant motion and thermal cycling. If your printer experiences intermittent "Max Temp" errors, "Print Head Communication" failures, or issues with the active levelling process, the internal circuitry of this board may be compromised. Replacing the PCB is a standard procedure to restore industrial-grade reliability and communication stability to your S-series machine.
