The Limit Switch Y L710 is a high-precision mechanical endstop specifically designed for the UltiMaker S5 Revision 2. This switch defines the "home" position for the Y-axis (back-to-front movement), allowing the printer to establish its internal coordinate system with micrometre accuracy before every print. Without a functioning Y-limit switch, the printer cannot safely calibrate its position, which could lead to mechanical interference or "Endstop hit" errors.
