The print head bearing pack is a high-precision maintenance kit designed to restore the smooth, fluid movement of the print head along the X and Y axes. These linear bearings are the primary interface between the print head housing and the 6 mm chrome-plated shafts. Over thousands of hours of operation, internal friction or debris buildup can cause these bearings to wear, leading to increased resistance, noise, or "ghosting" artefacts on the surface of your prints.
By replacing worn bearings with these official factory-spec components, you ensure that the motion system maintains the low-friction performance required for the high-speed travel and precise layer registration that the UltiMaker 2 series is known for.
