BioMed Amber Resin is a strong and stiff material developed for biocompatible applications. It is suitable for medical devices requiring long-term skin contact (>30 days) or short-term contact with bone, tissue, dentin, and mucosal membranes (<24 hours). This medical-grade material is manufactured in an FDA-registered, ISO 13485 certified facility.

This 1-litre cartridge is optimised for the Form 4 ecosystem, providing a reliable solution for point-of-care and medical manufacturing. Parts printed with BioMed Amber Resin are semi-transparent and compatible with common solvent disinfection and sterilisation methods.

Post-processing

Washing

BioMed Amber Resin may be washed using either a Formlabs-validated wash unit or an ultrasonic wash unit.

The foundational step in any SLA post-processing workflow is to remove excess resin on the surface of the parts through an alcohol wash. Please refer to the material's manufacturing guide/IFU for washing instructions.

Curing

For biocompatible materials, post-curing is necessary to achieve the safety standards determined by regulatory agencies. Please follow the material’s manufacturing guide/IFU for proper post-processing.
