BioMed Black Resin is a rigid, matte material designed for biocompatible applications that require long-term skin contact (>30 days) or short-term mucosal membrane contact (<24 hours). This medical-grade material is USP Class VI certified, making it suitable for pharmaceutical and drug delivery applications. It is manufactured in an FDA-registered, ISO 13485 certified facility.
This 1-litre cartridge is specifically engineered for the Form 4 ecosystem, providing a high-performance solution for medical manufacturing. Its matte black finish offers excellent visual contrast and is compatible with common solvent disinfection and sterilisation methods.
Fuel medical innovation using 3D printing and BioMed Black Resin for producing end-use devices where performance and biocompatibility are critical.
Use BioMed Black Resin for producing rigid parts for point-of-care and medical manufacturing applications requiring biocompatibility and a matte finish.
BioMed Black Resin may be washed using either a Formlabs-validated wash unit or an ultrasonic wash unit.
The foundational step in any SLA post-processing workflow is to remove excess resin on the surface of the parts through an alcohol wash. Please refer to the material's manufacturing guide/IFU for washing instructions.
For biocompatible materials, post-curing is necessary to achieve the safety standards determined by regulatory agencies. Please follow the material’s manufacturing guide/IFU for proper post-processing.
Note: Only compatible with the Formlabs Form 4 series resin printer.
