The right feeder assembly (Feeder 2) is the high-performance material delivery system for the secondary extrusion path of the UltiMaker S-series. This unit has been engineered to meet the demands of industrial 3D printing, featuring a reinforced internal drive mechanism and an integrated filament flow sensor. The sensor continuously monitors the movement of the filament, allowing the printer to automatically pause if a run-out occurs or if friction is detected, saving your print from failure. This feeder is essential for the reliable delivery of support materials, such as PVA and Breakaway, or secondary build materials in dual-extrusion projects.

This version features a specialised serrated drive wheel with a fine-pitch pattern and a proprietary hardened coating. Unlike standard feeders, this "all-material" design is specifically built to resist the high-wear characteristics of abrasive composites, such as Carbon Fibre, Glass Fibre, and Metal filaments, without the teeth dulling over time. Replacing the assembly restores the factory-standard grip and precision required for consistent extrusion.
