Magigoo PP-GF is designed to work exclusively with glass-filled polypropylene (PP-GF) filaments. This adhesive is for professional use, ensuring that prints adhere firmly when the print bed is hot and parts can be easily removed once it has cooled. This unique and innovative mechanism means that no tools are required to remove prints from the bed; they simply pop off when the surface cools.
Glass-filled polypropylene acts as a thermally activated interfacial layer, enabling better interactions at both the micro and molecular level between the print bed and the materials. For the most reliable performance, it is generally recommended to print at the temperatures provided by your filament supplier.
As printing conditions vary between machines, we suggest finding the optimal temperature by starting at the lower end of the recommended settings and increasing the bed temperature in 5°C increments. This process should be carried out using standardised calibration prints.
An additional advantage of Magigoo PP-GF is the thermally activated release. While different printers, surfaces, or filaments may have slightly different requirements, as a general rule, a temperature reduction of 30–40°C should be sufficient to remove your prints without any difficulty.
The best and most reliable performance is achieved when the adhesive is applied in a thin, even layer. We recommend cleaning the build plate and reapplying the adhesive between prints, especially for long-duration prints or more challenging materials.
Do not press the bottle too hard when applying the adhesive to the print bed.
