Magigoo Flex

Magigoo Flex consists of a specialised compound designed to work exclusively with TPU, TPE, and TPC filaments. By applying a layer between the print bed and the printed part, it ensures that prints are relatively easy to remove once the bed has cooled and that the print bed can be cleaned without difficulty.

Why choose Magigoo Flex?

Flexible filaments such as TPU, TPE, and TPC are thermoplastic rubbers that combine plastic and rubber properties, allowing them to stretch and return to their original shape. These materials are highly sought after in industrial applications due to their high stability, chemical resistance, and cost-effectiveness.

However, flexible filaments present unique challenges in FDM printing. Some exhibit poor adhesion and a high tendency to warp, while others adhere so strongly to surfaces like glass or PEI that they can cause permanent damage upon removal. Magigoo Flex acts as an essential intermediate layer, providing reliable adhesion during the print and facilitating safe removal once finished.

Instructions for use:

1. Shake: Shake the bottle well before use.
2. Apply: Apply to the desired area by pressing the nib onto the print bed to activate the internal valve, then spread the liquid as needed.
3. Print: Follow the recommended settings from the filament manufacturer.
4. Remove: Allow the bed to cool completely. The print should release easily or "pop" off the surface.
5. Clean: Use a damp cloth to wipe away any residual adhesive.

Safety and precautions:

• Material compatibility: Using this product with filaments other than flexible types may cause excessive adhesion and could damage your print bed.
• Application: Do not press the bottle too hard when applying to avoid flooding the surface or damaging the applicator nib.

Professional tips:

• Brims: For larger prints or filaments with high shrinkage, a 20mm brim is recommended.
• Difficult removal: In cases of excessive adhesion, slowly work a small amount of water under the edge of the printed part to help dissolve the bond and make removal easier.
