The left feeder assembly (Feeder 1) is the primary material delivery system for the UltiMaker S-series. The sensor provides an essential layer of security by monitoring filament movement in real-time; if the filament stops moving due to a run-out or a tangle, the printer automatically pauses, allowing you to save the print. This assembly is equipped with a high-performance serrated drive wheel featuring a fine-pitch pattern and a proprietary hardened coating.
