The fan pack is a comprehensive cooling solution designed to maintain the thermal stability and print quality of the UltiMaker 2 series. This kit includes all three essential fans located on the print head: the rear-mounted hot-end cooling fan and the two side-mounted model cooling fans. Together, they ensure that heat is managed precisely—keeping the "cold end" of the extruder cool to prevent jams while providing the rapid, symmetrical airflow needed to solidify extruded plastic for crisp overhangs and fine details.
Cooling fans are mechanical components with a finite lifespan; over time, their bearings can wear down, leading to reduced RPMs, increased noise, or total failure. If you notice a "Fan Error" on your 2+ Connect, or if your prints are showing signs of poor bridging and drooping, it is likely that one or more fans are no longer performing at factory specifications. Replacing the entire set with this genuine pack ensures your printer regains its industrial-grade cooling performance.
