Replacement door sensor for UltiMaker Material Station and Factor 4

The door sensor is a critical safety and workflow component for UltiMaker’s automated material handling systems. Utilising a precision reed switch, this 950 mm cable detects the proximity of the magnetic contact within the front glass door. This signal allows the printer to instantly recognise when a user is accessing the material bay, triggering the touchscreen to display the current configuration overview and spool status. This ensures that the printer’s internal moisture-control logic and automated prefeeders are synchronised with the user’s manual interactions.

If your Material Station fails to update the display when the door is opened, or if it incorrectly reports that the door is ajar, the reed switch may have become misaligned or suffered internal fatigue. Replacing this sensor ensures that the seamless "pro-bundle" user experience is maintained and that the printer can accurately manage the humidity-controlled environment of the Material Station.
